Esteemed Star Pat Finn, a versatile actor, Famed For Parts in Friends and The Middle, Has Died at 60 Years Old.
Stateside entertainer Pat Finn, who was seen in beloved programs such as "Friends", Seinfeld and The Middle, has succumbed at 60 years old.
The skilled improv artist died at home in Los Angeles on Monday having undergone treatment for a cancer diagnosis beginning in 2022, as reported by reports.
"Pat Finn saw everyone as a friend - only friends he had yet to meet," his loved ones said in a announcement.
They added that he had "experienced life to the fullest - with zest and passion".
A Prolific Television Career
His debut TV appearance was on the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he portrayed the lead character's sibling.
He subsequently landed a repeating character on Murphy Brown in the latter half of the 1990s.
He starred as Joe Mayo in "Seinfeld" in 1998, portraying a party host known to delegate unpleasant chores to his guests.
Throughout the end of the 90s and start of the 2000s, he had guest spots on several popular shows, such as:
- King of Queens
- Friends
- That '70s Show
- House
He was most recognized for his portrayal of the character Bill Norwood in The Middle, starring in eight seasons of the show over nearly a decade.
His film credits are "It's Complicated" and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups (2012).
Off-Screen Life
Outside of his television work, Finn was deeply involved in improvisational comedy and worked as a teacher at the Colorado university, where he was a faculty member.
He was part of a comedy group of six called Beer Shark Mice.
"Pat taught, supported, and inspired countless students during his career and it's nearly impossible to find someone anywhere who has anything negative to say about him," his family wrote.
Paying homage, peer Richard Kind remarked there was "nobody more kind, gentle, and humorous, authentic human being you could encounter".
"Always positive, making those around him better and funnier. A great dad, a great guy," he shared on social media.
Pat Finn is remembered by his partner Donna, three children, and his family.
